Tjinga is a new Swedish app under development that is set to launch in the region of Uppsala.
The challenge was to create something that could be easily recognised in the sea of apps and distinguish them from their established competitors, both at home and for the future, their international competitors.
The project started with only a request for a logo and as a complementary I added in the outlines for a whole identity. Here are some of the pages from the presentational PDF.
Orange Mountain is a winter clothing brand with a strong focus on the extreme colds of the northen part of our planet but still making classic clothing such as t-shirt collections.
Their own ideas was to make a very simple logo that would still look modern and cool. My choice was bring in a very strong orange colour that would differentiate from the normal blue and white that is common amongs their competitors to stand out.
The Swedish start up Unique is a ambitious project by Martina Palmér. She is a clothing designer with a unique perspective on clothing for children.
The project involved webpage design with e-commerce capabilities and graphical design such as letterhead, business cards and clothing tags.
It also involved a social media strategy, which explained how to handle simple marketing on facebook together with a expanding view and how to go forth boldly into the future with a strong presence on the web, not only on her own site but also in social media to raise awareness and attract customers.
The development process took several months as we dwelled deep into what direction her business should take, in the final decision making we decided to market towards a smaller, richer strata whom buy handmade, designed and unique clothing.
The project evolved into online marketing retainment. I will continue to work closely with Unique until at least 2014.
Whole project included:
Logotype
Website & Blog
Branding material
Quarterly catalogue
Stationary & Business Cards
Social media design & Strategy
Genova is a premium chocolate and sweets maker with a strong focus on perfecting the art of using mint in their products. The soul of their company was described as "A strife for perfection" which later was made into their new tagline:
"A quest for perfection"
The project was focused mainly around making their logo along with the tagline and a few examples of how it could be applied. We decided against making a online website for now as neither I nor them felt it would bring much to their business as a small local sweets maker.
We added in a gift card in the process which serves as a gentle marketing product in their vicinity. The cards were printed on thick GSM 600 and a unique made stamp seals the authenticity of the card together with a signature.
These are the words that made me study the Flux case from RE, a Australian design agency, I liked the theme and wanted to take my own swing at the project and made a case study out of it.
My own thought was that the project they completed was over done, when the company itself wanted to have something very simple deducting from the "extra ordinary" they completed it with something (very extra ordinary) that did not fit the image of what the client wanted in my opinion.
Transdach is a small polish company selling roofing solution with a specialization for iron roofs. They are located in the beatiful city of Krakow. The name is polish, Dach meaning roof.
The idea was to make a unique mark that could be used in the future on business cards, stationary and their metal roofs.
Laura Muscat, A very talented Italian fashion blogger who had the interest to renew her fashion blog with a branding.
The idea I brought in was to switch the focus from a fictional name to her own name to give her self more spotlight for the future.
Sadly the project never saw the light of dawn.
